Deep Ecology and Technology

The Technology and Sustainable Futures group now has a page on its ongoing research on Deep Ecology and Technology.

The work develops a Deep Eco-Technosophy: a framework that connects technology and AI to a deeper philosophical system, drawing on and reworking the deep ecology of Arne Næss. It asks whether technology can be morally valuable, whether it can help us understand one another, and whether AI can become “soft” technology that is nurtured and deployed in ways conducive to flourishing.
